Undergear Engineering Limited are a CNC Machining company, manufacturing parts in Ferrous and Non Ferrous materials to customer specifications, based in West Bromwich .
Employing some 45 personnel, Undergear Engineering Ltd recognises that they effect the environment with the management being fully committed in reducing the effects to the environment.
Undergear Engineering Ltd will comply withall the relevant evironmental legislation and other requirements, setting objectives and targets designed to ensure continual improvement in environmental performance, this wil include :-
*Preventing pollution and nuisance
*Preventing spills and leaks
*Storing materials and waste in a safe manner
* Minimise waste produced
*Ensuring visual cleanliness of site
Undergear Engineering Ltd will communicate all aspects of ISO 14001:2004 to all personnel working for or on behalf of the company.
*This policy will be made available on request and will be reviewed at Management Review Meetings
The following actions have been agreed:
* Determine and compare Carbon Index
* Carry out Electrical metering of all production machines and air compressors with a view to better identification of the cause of non-productive electrical energy consumption.
*Determine why VSD compressor is operating on full load and suggest remedial course of action
* Analyse electrical energy usage of a function of production by shift in order to identify inefficiences.
* Performance will be monitored against target figures until October 2008. a final report will determine the actual levels of savings against the agreed target in terms of kWhrs and cost.
